Tuesday: Practice 4.3 and 4.4; Complete the practice QUIZ 4.1-4.4 –  It is due on Thursday.

Wednesday:  8th grade Career day after lunch

Thursday: Review Ch4A (Lessons 4.1-4.4)

Friday: Test over Ch4A

Monday: Lesson 4.1 Writing Equations in Slope-Intercept Form– Students will take notes.  HOMEWORK- Complete Exercises from 4.1 pg 165 .

Tuesday:  Lesson 4.2 Writing Linear Equations in Point-Slope Form – Students will take notes. NO HOMEWORK

Wednesday:  Watch  VL5B Linear Equations in Point-Slope Form and complete the notes sheet.  Click Alg VL5B notes for a copy of notes to fill in with VL5B.

Thursday: Lesson 4.2 Writing Linear Equations in Point-Slope Form.  Students will practice writing equations in Slope-Intercept form and Point-Slope Form by doing the Writing Linear Equations activity (Point-Slope Form); HOMEWORK-  Watch VL5C Linear Equations in Standard Form  and complete the notes sheet.  Click Alg VL5C notes for a copy of notes to fill in with VL5C

Friday: Students will complete selected exercises from Lessons 4.2 and 4.3 from the textbook. HOMEWORK- Study for the Quiz you will take on MONDAY!!!

 

 

Lesson Plans for October 9-13, 2017

TEKS for the Week: A.2B, A.2C, A.2D, A.2E, A.2F, A.2G, A.3A

WE WILL HAVE A QUIZ ON TUESDAY AND A TEST ON FRIDAY!

Monday: We will take notes over Lesson 3.5- Linear Equations in Slope-Intercept Form and complete 3.5 online exercises; HOMEWORK- Complete the online 3.5 Exercises if not finished in class

Tuesday: We will take a Quiz over finding x and y intercepts(using both methods- zeroing out and C/A & C/B); We will then take notes on 3.6 Model Direct Variation; HOMEWORK- Complete 3.6 Monitoring Progress #1-7 pages 134-136 in the textbook.

Wednesday: Work in groups to model direct variation situations using multiple representations (graphical, tabular, verbal and algebraic) and identifying the constant of variation. HOMEWORK- Begin the  Chapter 3A Review – complete #1-15, omitting #12.  You must show your work on notebook paper neatly and orderly.

Thursday: You will complete the Chapter 3A Review in class.  HOMEWORK- STUDY for the test.

Friday: Chapter 3A TEST
